  • Director of Lacrosse

    Director of Lacrosse/Tournament Director
    40+ hrs a week

    Responsibilities of the Job:
    Help in the overall execution of successful youth sport tournaments. As a Director, your main responsibilities will be:
    -Helping in the research/development/marketing/promotion of the event(s) with a primary focus of events in 2018 & beyond
    -Contact new Coaches (as well as recruit College Coaches) via e-mail and phone to inform of new opportunities with AC Lacrosse
    -Maintain day-to-day schedule of events with focus on efficiency & experience
    -Answer questions from parents, coaches, umpires/refs, etc. on various topics (schedule, rules, format of events, etc.)
    -Verify and communicate with Officials to correctly enforce rules, verify & report final scores and make sure game schedules stay on time.
    -Sell & Maintain proper inventory of tournament merchandise (t-shirts, equipment, etc.)
    -Capture game(s) images to use via Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
    -Other job tasks as needed/requested by CEO & Director of Operations

    Required Work Experience/Education:
    Minimum: Associate’s Degree w/ College Lacrosse playing/coaching experience
    Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree plus experience in event management (primary focus Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse events/camps/tournaments) and/or College Lacrosse playing/coaching experience

    Must be an excellent communicator; work well with others, personable and outgoing. Not afraid to Cold Call Coaches. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Good typing skills.

    An ideal candidate would be a graduating senior (or recent graduate) with College Lacrosse playing/coaching experience. This is an entry-level position with room to grow within the company. The candidate would need to be able to work at our office in Trafford, PA (roughly 20 minutes from Pittsburgh) during the week and remotely on weekends when tournaments were being held.
